We welcomed February this week with lots of playtime and warmer temps! For our morning search, we set out to find 30 red foxes in the front yard! These sneaky foxes were no match for our super kids, and all were found. We read 3 books this week, Armadillo Tattletale by Helen Kettleman, The Shortest Day by Susan Cooper, and Winter Poems by Barbara Rogasky.
On Wednesday, our morning meeting leader was super excited to plan the day for us! We started by having some playtime in the back yard and going sledding. Then, we heading up to forest camp, where we played in the mud kitchen, climbed on our fort, and ate yummy snow treats. We enjoyed lunch on our red picnic tables before doing some coloring! Our morning meeting leader loves rainbows and unicorns, so that is what we colored. Then it was time for thank you circle and pickup!
On Friday, we headed up to forest camp for snack around a fire. After snack, we played in the mud kitchen making yummy treats, rode on our tree motorcycles and racecars, and made little holes in the snow for tiny animals to live in. Then we headed to the backyard for some playtime on our stone wall. This week, the stone wall was imagined as boats of all kinds; motorboat, submarine, and even a tugboat. We enjoyed lunch and headed to the barn for some dry layers, then came back outside for playtime, thank you circle, and pick up.
