Bird Notes on 'Across The Fence'

Bird Notes on Across the Fence was first hosted by Fran Howe, then by John Merchant. In the early 1990's Audubon Vermont's Mark LaBarr became the spokesperson for birds in Vermont. With subjects ranging from birdfeeding to nest box building to migration, Bird Notes has covered the full range of topics related to birds. Recently Mark's conservation work with Audubon Vermont and his many travels in seach of birds have been highlighted on the show.

Across the Fence is the longest running daily farm and home television show in the country. Bird Notes airs on Across the Fence on WCAX (https://www.uvm.edu/extension/atfence) on the fourth Wednesday of every month "right after the noontime news." The show brings birds into people's living rooms. The topics vary and Bird Notes regularly recieves questions from viewers which Mark tries to answer.
