Week 1- First Day Fun

September 10th and 12th

Our first back for the year and we are so excited to see what the school year has in store for us! Being our first day when we arrived, we were greeted and then got to pick which cubby section would be ours for the whole school year! Once we picked a cubby, we then got to work on decorating our nametags which will be on our cubbies all year long. After decorating we had 19 monarch butterflies in the year we needed to find too! It took some time, but we found them all.

On Wednesday and Friday after snack we journeyed to Forest Camp where we played in the mud kitchen, climbed trees, made fairy houses and so much more. We got to play with our new and old friends and see how much fun our days at Audubon will be. Before lunch we walked around our gardens smelling the flowers, seeing the bumblebees, and learning about the flowers around us like goldenrod and the purple asters. At lunch we enjoyed a story or 2 about the journey of a monarch butterfly. After lunch we enjoyed some time coloring in the yard, and then had Thank You Circle where we shared our favorite part of the day and waited for our adults to pick us up.

This year is going to be so much fun!
