Nature's Kitchen

Ecology Day Camp, July 8-12

At Nature's Kitchen we made lots of yummy food! We started off strong with learning all about edible plants and foraging. At the end of the first day, the campers got to try sun tea from local white pine, hemlock, and sumac! On the second day, we learned about fire safety and building. After making fires we explored the brook!

On Wednesday, the campers ebarked on a cook off in groups! They created pizzas using hot embers from fires they made in their groups. Sadly, the floods stopped us from camp on Thursday, but on Friday we had lots of fun making s'mores and playing camouflage.
