Hike Down Below

September 20, 2019

What a special and fun filled Friday! After we all arrived, we stared our day right away with morning meeting.  Our morning meeting leader wanted to take a trip and visit Oden, who is Audubon’s big orange tractor, and lives down near our Sugarhouse.

We gathered all of our things and began our journey down to our lower property.  We enjoyed snack on a bridge above Beaver Pond, and we got to see some painted turtles basking on a log.  We finally made it to the field where we saw a large pile of wood that needed to be stacked.  We all wanted to help stack it, so we carried the wood from the pile to the stacking area, and we got it all done!

After the wood was all stacked, we took a walk to Oden’s house, and got to see Oden, and his friend Peter the lawnmower.  We saw Mark drive Peter around in circles and got a photo with both Oden and Peter.

We enjoyed lunch in the field and soaked up all of the sun as it beat down on us.  As we hiked back up for pick-up time, we stopped and have thank you circle.  We all loved meeting oden and Peter and well as stacking all of the wood and our hike!
