Happy Halloween!

Week 8 Oct 26th and 28th

This week we got to be a little spooky and even sillier than ever by dressing up in Halloween costumes. We had Superman show up, Batman, and even a scary pumpkin!

Wednesday after finding pumpkins in the yard we had a big day planned for us. We went on a huge hike up the Hire’s Trail! Along the hike we stopped at Lookout Rock and spent a few moments listening to the sounds around us. We heard birds, frogs, cars, the wind in the leaves, and some squirrels hopping around. As we continued on our hike we talked about the plants around us, the mushrooms, and the animals that like to live here. We talked about how it is important to have a diverse space so that different kinds of critters can feel comfortable and make a home there. It was a great hike.

Friday we enjoyed some time playing games in the yard and climbing at Forest Camp. The trees at Forest Camp are so great to climb on. Many of us also enjoy some mud kitchen time too. We also colored some bats too that will be cut out and used as a part of our morning activities.
