We welcomed some fresh snow from the storm on Monday and we couldn’t wait to play in the snow. Our animal that we were searching for today were squirrels! We squeaked like squirrels and ran around like them in the snow!
On Wednesday, we played in the snow before morning meeting. Our morning meeting leader planned a day for us to stay moving and play around. We played in the garden, went on a hike while it was snowing up to mossy rocks, and went sledding! The day felt like we were living in a snow globe! We practiced catching snow on our tongues as it fell from the sky. We enjoyed lunch inside as we colored snowflake pictures to decorate with too. Such a magical last day of our fall session.
On Friday, our morning meeting leader wanted to take a quick hike down to pepper pond. It was great to see how different the trails look now covered in snow. Once there, we spent a few minutes playing in the snow and taking in the sunshine. We hiked back up to the front yard where we then colored some beautiful snowflakes. After our coloring sessions, we enjoyed some free play in the front yard. We pretended to be Pikachu, played tag, and, of course, played in the snow.
Thank you all so much for such an amazing fall semester. It has been an honor to learn and grow alongside your children. We hope you have a great holiday break and we can’t wait to see you again in the new year!
