The Green Mountain Audubon Center's hiking trails are open year-round to the public daily from dawn until dusk.  Nestled in the foothills of the Green Mountains, the 250-acre Green Mountain Audubon Center offers outstanding opportunities for exploration and discovery of the natural world of Vermont.  Five miles of trails wind their way through a variety of natural communities including, northern hardwood forest, hemlock swamp, and the Huntington River.

TRAIL MAPS and Trail Accessibility Information are available at our trailhead kiosks and at the Visitor Center on Sherman Hollow Road. Restrooms are available at the Visitor Center. Unfortunately, the west River Trail (by the sugarbush) remains closed. The enitre trail was completely washed out by flooding and is totally impassable. Please stay away from steep banks and edges.

Our Visitor Center is open Monday-Friday 8 AM-4 PM. Stop by for a trail recommendation, information about Audubon Vermont's education and conservation programs, or a jug of our Bird-Friendly Maple Syrup! Be sure to check out our gear loan library! Visitors can check out binoculars, field guides, or snow shoes to use on our trails.
