Good Morning!
The time has officially arrived for us to move through the lottery process for our Ecology Day Camps and Preschool Nature Camps. If your camper secured a spot in our summer camps, you will start receiving notifications from CampDoc today. Please check your spam folder, and then log into your camper’s account to see in which camp(s) they are enrolled and which they are still on the waitlist. If your camper did not get into a camp during this first round, they will remain on the waitlist.
Important Next Steps:
- Secure Your Spot: You have two weeks (until midnight on Sunday, March 23rd) to secure your camper’s spot by paying either a 30% deposit or paying in full.
Please note: There is no automatic payment option, so you must log in and make the payment manually.
- Financial Assistance/Scholarship: If the deposit is a financial barrier or you are interested in scholarship funding, please apply here before March 23rd: Scholarship Application Form
- Balance Due: Camp balances must be paid in full by April 21st, or families will forfeit their spot and deposit. If you need more time to pay, please call our office to set up a payment plan.
Important Information Regarding Forms & Cancellations:
- Forms Update: Please do not fill out any forms you currently see in CampDoc unless you are coming to a school year program like April Vacation Camp or Afterschool. These forms are being updated by our national camp team, and I will notify all families once the summer version is available. (I’d hate for you to fill out the same information twice!)
- Cancellations: If your camper has secured a spot but you no longer need it, please submit a cancellation request through your camper’s account in CampDoc.
Note: We will not process cancellation requests sent via email. After March 23rd, all cancellations will incur fees, so please review our cancellation policy to avoid additional charges.
- Waitlist & Cancellations: If you did not secure a spot in this first round, you will remain on the waitlist. We will begin processing cancellations as families decline their spots starting Monday, March 10th. While we cannot predict when a spot will open, we do expect cancellations as families finalize their summer plans. We will notify you if a space becomes available.
Flash Registration for Underfilled Camps (First-Come, First-Served):
A few camps did not fill during the lottery due to low registration and are now available on a first-come, first-served basis starting today, March 7th. You may register for these camps even if your camper has already secured other camp weeks. The available camps are:
- SUNsational - Ecology Day Camp June 23–June 27, 2025 (Ages 6–10)
- Backwoods Ventures - Ecology Day Camp June 30–July 3, 2025 (Ages 9–12)
- Audubon Survivor - Ecology Day Camp July 14–July 18, 2025 (Ages 9–12)
- Bring out the Birds - Ecology Day Camp July 21–July 25, 2025 (Ages 6–10)
Additional Information:
- FAQs & Policies: Answers to common questions can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions page and our Summer Camp Page, which includes information on Preschool Camp, Ecology Camp, and our cancellation policy.
- Eligibility Criteria: New this year, we ask families to review our Eligibility Criteria to determine if we are a good fit for your camper’s participation.
- CampDoc Support: CampDoc also has helpful tutorials and instructions to guide you through the system.
Thank you for choosing Audubon Vermont for your camper’s summer camp experience! We truly appreciate each family’s support of our programs.
