Up to Look Out Rock

Week 2: September 18th and 20th

Summer is not wanted to leave us and is holding on strong with these warm final days! In the morning when everyone was arriving we tried to find all 26 hidden red efts in the yard. Some of them were tricky but after some search we did have success and counted all 26!

Wednesday and Friday’s group planned exactly the same day, which I always find interesting since they are different students. After snack and playing in the yard we went on an adventure and hiked up part of the Hire’s trail. At the top of the first hill we stopped at Mossy Rocks. We talked about what fun we could have at this location, and also times we would avoid playing on the rocks too, like if it were raining or it was covered in ice. We continued on our hike all the way up to Look Out Rock! At the top we took a minutes break to close our eyes and listen to the sounds around us. Some of us heard birds, cars driving down on the road, leaves rustling, wind blowing through the trees, etc. On group on Friday had a lot of fun playing in the leaves too!

I can’t wait to see what fun fall adventures we have!
