OUR FINAL WEEK OF SUMMER CAMP 2024!

This week the Coyotes and owls are the tricksters of the animal world, hiding in the shadows, sniffing out secrets, and gliding through the forest. This week our campers joined our pack, mastered their camouflage, sharpened their r eyes, and buit a secret camp in a week of stealthy adventure!

On Monday we were introduced to the theme and played some great games, like capture the flag to get wokring on our hiding and sneakiness! We explored the woods around us as we learned about coyotes and their adaptations. During our eating times we listened to the tale of The Hobit.

Tuesday was a beautilful day. We spent it learning about camoflauge, playing the game a few times and builting some secret shelters. We also traveled to the Brook and explored the critters that live there as well as built an incredible dam.

Thursdays was bird day for us at camp! We got started with a hike to the Birds of Vermont Museum where we focused on bird adaptations, like their different wings, tails, beaks, and other traits. The carvings are all so beautiful. We stayed for lunch listening to The Hobit and eventuallty hiked back to dissect some owl pellets (yay) and work on our shelters.

Friday, of course we played Life and Death in the Forest in the morning, and with the heat we cooled down in the afternoon by the brook and looked for critters along the way. We put some final touches on our shelters, enjoyed a fire and roasted marshmallows before ending out time our our friends and families!

Thanks for a wonderful last week!
