Summer Day Camp Blog

Builders, Diggers, and Crafty Critters

Preschool Nature Camp, July 15-19

This week was all about animals with some crafty building skills!

Monday we  learned about forest floor animals! We walked like bobcats, waddled like bears, and hopped like bunnies, making shelters and mud pies in the forest. Tuesday we started off the day making bear and fox masks! We then found some animals that live in trees and fields, like butterflies, birds, and squirrels! We had a  lot of fun searching for Red Efts at mossy rocks. We even found a few!

Thursday we travelled to Peeper Pond where we found some butterflies and birds and heard the croaking of frogs. We listened to a story told by our CIT Evie, and played with paper airplanes and did a relay race in the afternoon. We also got a treat of snowcones!
