We integrate the outdoor classroom with academic concepts, conservation-based themes, and a sense of adventure in this monthly nature-based program for learners aged 6-12. Each program is designed to give you a platform from which to build units/lessons in your homeschooling or to supplement your child's classroom learning at school. Within a season, each class builds on the previous within a seasonal theme that is in tune with nature's calendar. This fall we focussed on ecosystems as we learned about food webs, forests, and watersheds. This winter we have been learning about wilderness survival skills including fire building, staying warm, and how animals survive the winter. The themes each month will be similar to, but not all the same as last year, and will be catered to student interests and seasons/weather.

Age: This program is for learners ages 6-12. We will divide into smaller groups by age as needed

Day of the week: 2nd Thursday of each month

Spring Season 2025: (3/13, 4/10, 5/8) Some potential topics include: maple sugaring, birds, aquatic animals, spring changes, watersheds, insects, and life cycles.

Time: 9am - 1pm

• Audubon Vermont members $95/season/child (with code: CHICKADEE24)
• Non-members $100/season/child.
• Register for all three seasons for $5 off/season/child
