We will meet in the Education Barn, the building closest to the parking lots.

Join us at the Green Mountain Audubon Center on May 8 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM for a screening of New Neighbors: The Beavers of Allen Brook! by filmmakers and husband-and-wife duo, Jim and Grace Heltz. Jim will share insights into the making of the 29-minute documentary. Following the screening, we'll take a walk down to the Beaver Pond at the Center to experience firsthand the habitat and legacy created by the beavers. This is a great opportunity to learn about the invaluable ecological services beavers provide and gain a fresh perspective on their impact. Tickets are $10/person.
Walk/Trail Information: We will take the White Pine Trail to the Beaver Pond Trail on the way down and come up through the Sugarbush and Hemlock Swamp before walking back up the White Pine Trail to the Education Barn. Our walk will be short (~0.8 mi), but does involve walking down and then back up a steep section of trail. Please wear appropriate footwear for uneven terrain and possible mud.
