Tough Conversations: Finding Common Ground in Vermont’s Housing and Conservation Efforts
A youth-led panel discussion of local experts
Tuesday, May 06, 2025
6:00pm - 7:00pm Eastern Online Event
"Tough Conversations" is a youth-led webinar series that began in 2020 meant to catalyze conversations on important environmental topics. For our next installment of the series, our current Youth Conservation Leadership Participants chose to focus on two of Vermont's most pressing issues: development and conservation.
In Vermont, the need for affordable housing is growing—but so is the need to protect the state’s forests, wildlife, and natural landscapes. How can we build the homes our communities need without sacrificing the environment that makes Vermont special?
Hear from five expert panelists working at the intersection of housing, land use, and environmental protection. Together, they’ll explore practical solutions, share success stories, and tackle tough questions about how to move forward.
