Fairies of Field and Forest

Preschool Nature Camp, July 22-26

Fairy Week 2024!!! We started off our week created our very own fairy homes in the forest, building new homes for fairies who had lost their in the flooding. We trekked to the brook where we painted rocks and made fairy boats!

On Tuesday we made fairy crowns and fairy wands! We check back in on our fairy houses and found that overnight, Fern the fairy had come to visit, leaving fairy dust to show that she had come!! We also built frog homes and thawed the spring frogs with our magic wands.

On Wednesday, we hiked to mossy rocks to explore the dragons lair for salamanders and add to our fairy houses.

On Thursday we made our very own tissue paper flowers! We walked down to Peeper Pond where we saw a massive missus frog, who may have been one of our thawed frogs! We collected flowers and later made flower crowns. We painted rocks and two flower pots, later sowing seeds in the freshly painted pots. We finished our day with a scavenger hunt for creatures in the backyard!

On Friday, we spent our morning playing games and adventuring into the magical forests of Audubon. We decorated our fairy camp to prepare for a fairy visit and had a tea party with cookies and hemlock tea! We had such a magical week exploring all of the wonderful places and creatures at Audubon!
