Pond Time for All!

Week 6 October 12th and 14th

The magical thing about Audubon is even if you have explored a place once, the next time you go to that place there will be something new to explore there. This week, Wednesday and Friday, went to Beaver Pond, a beloved location. Both days, filled with different students, wanted to explore the mud!

On Wednesday we found some Eastern Newts at the water’s edge, colored in notebooks, and even quietly observed a Green Frog camouflage in with the grasses. With all of the warmth from the sun the lady bugs were coming out and covering the barn!

On Friday it wasn’t as sunny as Wednesday but that made it even better mud. We all got the chance to hold an Eastern Newt if we wanted to, and we did!
