Turkey-tastic!

Week 18 March 8th and 10th

We welcomed March this week, as well as some new friends to the office! Turkeys have been roaming around the office lawns and eating the spilled birdseed under the deck.

On Wednesday, we began the morning by finding fake turkeys, while keeping an eye out for the real ones! We found them in a jiffy and filled the birdfeeders before heading down to our sugar bush to learn about maple sugaring. We split into two groups to head out and a maple tree. We even got to hide the special “Golden Tap” that visitors will try to find during our Sugar on Snow parties at the end of the month. We hiked back up to the barn for lunch, and then had some free play in the snow to finish our day.

On Friday, we found all of the turkeys and enjoyed our morning snack outside. We headed down to the sugar bush with our things where we tried our hand at tapping some maple trees. We ate our lunch in the sugar bush before hiking back up to the barn. To wrap up our day, we had some free play in the front lawn before pick up.
