We're excited to announce that for the first time since COVID began, our staff was able to gather together outside, in person for a Birdathon adventure! We spent a full, sunny day birding on foot at the Green Mountain Audubon Center and on our neighbor's land, the BIrds of Vermont Museum. It was joyful day of reconnecting with each other and birds around us.
Our official list of bird species came in at 69, including all six Vermont species of woodpeckers (Red-bellied Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and Northern Flicker).
We're still working hard to reach our fundraising goal. THANK YOU to everyone for making generous donations to support our work. It's not too late to make a Birdathon donation. Click here to donate.
