What a beautiful day we had!
We had so much fun being outside and enjoying the warm weather. Our morning activity was ice and snow painting outside, friends could not get enough of the paint bottles! They painted the snow cave in the front yard and made different colored water on the ice puddles. When we finally headed inside, we had snack and our morning meeting leader decided that they wanted to go on a hike, do some coloring! How fun!
First, everyone gathered at the porch for some community science! Rea explained that we would be sitting and counting birds at our feeder for a website that collects this information for Audubon. We sat and counted how many birds we saw coming to the bird feeders, we had to be super quiet to not startle any of the birds,
Then we hiked all the way up to Forest Preschool and had our first ever lunch outside this winter! We made potions and baked cakes. Some friends even turned the stick fort into a train and traveled all around the world on superspeed. Once we got back we had snack and did some coloring. Then we went back inside to do some quick coloring before parents arrived.
