Another Day at the Pond!

Week 5 October 5th and 7th

It sure is fall outside! This week we had the challenge to find multicolored maple leaves among the fallen down leaves outside! Both Wednesday and Friday groups found all of the leaves!

Wednesday’s morning meeting leader wanted another adventure and made it a good one. Not only did we hike down to Beaver Pond, but we brought our snacks and lunches with us. We had snack on a bridge right above the pond and lunch at Peeper Pond. At the pond we explored the beaver blind, we played some games, and enjoyed observing our amphibian friends. We played a great running game in the field where we all transformed into birds and flew across the field.

Friday’s group can’t get enough of Beaver Pond and neither can I. It was super muddy and we were having a blast getting our boots stuck and working through getting them out of the mud. We also explored over in the woods of the pond by a fun rock wall. We climbed up and down the rocks, some even sliding down on their bottoms.
