Webinar Opportunity: What are the Forest Management Standards and What is Changing?
This webinar is hosted by the Department of Forests, Parks, & Recreation
Tuesday, September 16, 2025
12:00pm - 1:00pm Eastern Online Event

The Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation (FPR) is in the process of updating the Minimum Acceptable Standards for Forest Management. These are standards established by the Commissioner of FPR that guide the administration and requirements of the forestland enrollments in the Use Value Appraisal (UVA) program. The standards were last updated in 2010. Since then, new standards have been added in separate documents. This revision incorporates everything together in one document and makes modifications to improve clarity and consistency.
FPR is looking for input. Learn more about the revisions, opportunities to engage, and how to provide input on FPR’s Current Use Forestland Standards Revision page.
Join FPR for two upcoming webinars. These webinars are geared towards landowners. They will introduce the standards that apply to forestland enrolled in Use Value Appraisal (UVA), and cover how and why the standards are changing and what this means for landowners.
