Pride Hike: Winter Walk and Crafts

December 13, 2025 - Huntington, VT

Register Here!

Our December Pride Hike will be at Audubon Vermont's homebase, the Green Mountain Audubon Center in Huntington. Our Center is free and open to the public year-round from dawn until dusk and boasts 250+ acres, 5-miles of trails, and unique natural communities. We will walk our upper trail system, including the Warbler Trail and Hires Trail. We will end our hike at the Education Barn where we will have warm beverages and crafting materials. Before crafting, we will go over how to make a zine, the basics of nature journaling, and share some art examples for inspiration. Craft materials provided include: cardstock, multipurpose art paper, collaging materials, pencils/markers/colored pencils, glue sticks, and watercolors. Please feel free to bring your own craft materials to use yourself or to share with the group!

All ages, allies, and families welcome! Youth under 18 years should be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Sorry, no dogs this time around.

Pride Hikes are a collaboration between Audubon Vermont and the Pride Center of Vermont. Pride Hikes have been happening every month since June of 2018 and go beyond being “welcoming to everyone” to creating a safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA2S+ community members.

Program Schedule:

  • 10-11am: Meet at the Education Barn, introductions, and hike.
  • 11am-12pm: Warm up in the barn and make nature and queer inspired art!

Hike Details: We will walk a total of ~1.3 miles. See more specific trail information below.

  • Warbler Trail is 0.58 miles, has an elevation gain of 115 feet, and surface is mostly packed soil with some protruding tree roots.
