For October, 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies are invited to explore Brewster Uplands, a 634-acre protected area managed by Vermont Land Trust. Brewster Uplands is free to the public and boasts seven miles of trails that take you along the Brewster River and the gorge to the west and to vistas of the northern Green Mountains to the east. We're hopeful that early October will bring some foliage and last-minute migrant birds! Our route will take as along two trails: The Pond Loop and The West Farm Trail. You are welcome to join us for both trails (a total of 2.5 to 3-miles), or peel off after we complete The Pond Loop. See trail info below.

All are welcome! Participants under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed.

Trail Information:

The Pond Loop - This is a universally accessible (UA) loop trail 1-mile in length. Vermont Land Trust shares that this unique stretch of woods features an alder swamp and vernal pools. The parking lot is also UA. 

The West Farm Trail - After we complete the Pond Loop, we will head to this 1.5-mile trail that takes us through both wooded areas and open fields. There is about ~165 foot elevation gain on this trail. Expect beautiful views of Mt. Mansfield!
