CANCELLED: Sugar on Snow Party

March 21, 2020

***In order to protect the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers and visitors and to help stop the spread of COVID-19, we are cancelling our Sugar on Snow Parties this year. We will continue to monitor the situation and will bring you excellent Audubon programming as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. ***

If you are stuck indoors and need a birdy distraction here is a beautiful page filled with Audubon’s favorite bird photos, videos and stories.

Sugar on Snow Parties are on BOTH Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 from 11 am to 4 pm!

All ages welcome. Fun for the whole family! Bring your friends!
The events are free of charge! Sugar on Snow and maple syrup will be available for purchase. (Bring cash or checks, please.)

Come celebrate the maple sugaring season with sweet sugar on snow, sugaring demonstrations, and a delicious taste of each grade of maple syrup! Tap a tree, collect sap from buckets, and follow the journey from sap to syrup during our sugarbush tours. Learn about Maple Syrup Produced from Bird-Friendly Habitats and go in search of our elusive birds of the sugarbush.

Enter a raffle to win great prizes! Visit the Green Mountain Audubon Center's Bird-Friendly Sugarbush this maple sugaring season. Audubon's pure Vermont maple syrup will be on sale. Bring a jug or two home to support Audubon Vermont's education and conservation programs.

Trail/accessibility information: Our Sugar on Snow events take place outdoors in the Audubon Center’s sugarbush. The trails are wide and mostly flat, but winter weather can make walking difficult if there is ice or snow during recent weather.  We do not have a heated facility in the sugarbush, so please wear weather-appropriate clothing, especially warm boots that will keep your feet dry! If you require accommodations or have questions about accessibility, please contact Audubon Vermont at Service dogs welcome, but please leave your pets at home.

Volunteer at Audubon's Sugar on Snow Parties

Be a part of the maple magic! Jobs include selling and serving food, selling maple syrup, offering maple syrup taste tests to guests, parking cars and much more. We hope to see you in the sugarbush!
