Thanks to funding from Wild Birds Unlimited, Audubon Vermont has scholarship funding available for students to join us for a week of our summer day camps. Students are eligible if they attend Hunt or Edmunds Middle Schools in Burlington or Winooski Middle School. View the camps and learn how to apply below!

To make sure our funds are having the greatest impact, families should show demonstrated need for support by indicating income on the application, downloadable below. Students and their families from those schools are encouraged to apply for full or partial scholarships, however, we encourage families to consider how much they can afford so we can award grants to as many campers as possible.

Location: All of our camps are based out of the Green Mountain Audubon Center in Huntington. 

Time: Camp drop-off is 9am and pick-up is at 4pm. Aftercare is available until 5pm. Twlilight Investigations camp does not start until 4pm and ends at 9pm. Please see specific camps for details as some have different times or an overnight trip. 

Transportation: Please let us know if a lack of transportation to Huntington would mean your child could not attend. We have pick up options available for Extreme Adventure and carpool options for other camps.

Lunch: Campers should come every day with a packed lunch and snacks. For overnights, please pack your camper(s) 2 lunches, we will provide the remaining dinner and breakfast while campers are with us between parent pick-up and drop-off.

Wild Birds Unlimited has awarded Audubon Vermont funds to campers in need. Wild Birds Unlimited specializes in bringing people and nature together with bird feeding and nature products, expert advice and educational events. One way they do that is by providing scholarships to Audubon Camps. For the 13th consecutive season, camp scholarships by Wild Birds Unlimited are available to the National Audubon network to help children in need attend Audubon camps and youth group programs. 

This year Audubon Vermont’s camps were awarded funds to help welcome more young people from our community to Audubon and experience place-based outdoor programs during the 2019 camp season.
