Our Preschoolers definitely got wild in the woods this week at Audubon. Each day we focused on a different critter and habitat at Audubon.
Monday we learned about bears. We packed up our snacks and started our day right off with a bear hike. Mady and Amanda taught us a bear hike song to sing as we made it to our first stop. Once we got to Mossy Rocks, using their Audubon Magic, Mady and Amanda turned everyone into bears! We made bear dens, learned how bears walk, played games, and ended our day with a bear craft!
Tuesday we transformed into beavers! We went on a longer hike all the way down to Beaver Pond! We investigated the area, built some beaver dams, and found so many great critters.
Wednesday was all about birds! We learned how different birds have different size and shaped beaks based on the kind of food they eat. We transformed into birds and flew through the garden finding other birds and food that we might enjoy. We landed near Forest Camp to make our nests for the day. After our nests we completed we flew back to the barn and transformed one of our friends into a bird using some dress up materials.
Thursday was buggy, in a good way! Amanda and Mady put on a wonderful puppet show to start our day! We then gathered all of our snacks and water bottles and trekked down to Pepper Pond where we used nests to sweep for insects.
Everyday a smile covers our faces as we explore the wild world of Audubon with these wild preschoolers!
