Vermont Cliffs Reopened to Climbers and Hikers

Peregrine Falcon Breeding Season is Complete

Hiking and climbing restrictions will be removed from all but one Vermont cliff on August 1, now that most pairs have completed their nesting cycle.  Vermont Department Fish & Wildlife, Audubon Vermont's partner in Peregrine Falcon recovery, issued a press release about the cliff openings.  There is one pair in Bolton that appears to have renested after failing its first nesting attempt earlier in the spring, however, and they are on a bit of a later timeline.  That cliff will be reopened as soon as the young are able to fly well on their own.
