Audubon Vermont's education team has an opening for an AmeriCorps member to serve the community by providing environmental education to children and adults nearly every day. This position is a great fit for someone who loves working outdoors with people, particularly children under 13, who wants to grow their skills as an educator and naturalist. The last 9 weeks of service are spent at our Summer Day Camp, so if you have camp experience as either a staff, CIT, or participant, please consider applying!
This position is full time, 35-40 hrs/week and must start ideally before, but no later than Dec 15, 2022. This member will serve 1,215 hours and the term will end on August 13, 2023. Member will receive a living allowance of $18,000 (pre-tax), and an education award of $4,546.50 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service. Other benefits include health insurance, federal school loan forbearance, and various training and networking opportunities. Additionally, this position is fully incorporated into Audubon Vermont's team, so we are looking for a creative team player who is excited about or willing to learn about the initiatives of the National Audubon Society, who will help us to advance Audubon's mission to protect birds and the places they need.
More details, including the full position description and apply through the MyAmeriCorps Portal on the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board's website.
