Since we enjoyed drawing our birds sooooo much this morning we got field guides and drew birds from them. These drawings will then be used later in the day for a bird quiz activity!
We were really enjoying searching and finding things today, so we spend out morning in the foods doing a leaf litter search. We turned over logs, rocks, and stumps to see what we could uncover. We found a lot of beetles, bugs, and worms in the dirt. We even found a few red-backed salamanders too! We enjoyed the sunshine in the field too.

After searching we made our way to Beaver Pond and started to work on building a Beaver Dam to see how it could effect the pond. We also took some time to catch critters and ID what we found.

In the afternoon we wanted to cool off in the shade and went to the Brook. We were all given 1 piece of string and could use it to help build a boat and would stay together and sail down the small waterfall. Many of our boats were successful.
Near the end of the day in the field we had our bird quiz with the birds we drew in the morning. We were great and IDing what bird was what.
