10:00am - 12:30pm Eastern Waitsfield, Vermont

Location Details
Lareau Park
6051 Vermont Rte 100, Waitsfield, 05673, VT
We will gather at the far end of the parking lot.

Come down to the river for a morning of family friendly exploration activities with Audubon Vermont educators. We’ll explore the connection between birds and rivers, spending time learning about the habitat along rivers, the birds that live there, and the river creatures that they eat. We’ll have the chance to take a walk and look for birds, flip rocks in the stream in search of bugs, and take part in fun activities like a scavenger hunt and demonstrations of popular nature apps.
This event is free, meant for all ages and welcomes families with children! Come with a curious mind, waterproof boots if you would like to wade in the river, and binoculars if you have them.
This event is part of the Mad About Birds Day hosted by Friends of the Mad River, a day of activities celebrating the Mad River Valley’s birds and the landscapes they call home.
