Jordan Hitch

Environmental Policy Intern Fall 2020

Jordan is from Middletown, Delaware. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2017 where she received her B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. Jordan has always had a love for animals and has always sought opportunities to be an environmental and endangered species advocate. She spent the summer of 2015 in New Zealand volunteering with environmental projects such as invasive species removal and habitat restoration. After graduating, Jordan realized she wanted to work on bettering the environment for future generations and believed that the most effective way to do so was through policy and legislative work. She is now a 3rd-year law student at Vermont Law School expecting to graduate with her J.D. as well as a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy. Jordan has previously worked for the Delaware government for over a year and a half and is now eager to see what it is like to work for a non-profit organization in the beautiful state of Vermont. Jordan hopes to gain experience working both in the field, seeing the scientific and educational branches of Audubon, as well as experiencing what it is like to do non-profit policy work among the legislature. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, going to breweries, drawing, and playing with her dog, Deku.
