Hi! my name is Coby Weintraub, and I hail from Morristown, New Jersey. I am a rising senior studying wildlife biology as well as geographic information systems at the University of Vermont. I am an enjoyer of sports, playing music, fishing, hiking, maps, and of course birds! While I have been interested in the natural world since a young age, my passion for birds and birding has come recently through my academic studies, and I have pursued this interest further through my involvement in the UVM Birding Club. My long-time passion for maps and geography has led me to join the UVM Spatial Analysis Lab, where I have worked this past year and currently work as a GIS Technician. I am intrigued by the many ways mapping can be used to aid conservation efforts as a visualization tool, and I plan on furthering this interest through my future academic and professional endeavors.
