Winged-warbler Banding

May 18, 2019 - Middlebury, VT

All ages welcome!

At this annual event, Middlebury Area Land Trust  (MALT) and Otter Creek Audubon Society (OCAS) come together for a morning of bird banding with Audubon Vermont Biologist Mark LaBarr.  While Mark teaches the art of banding, expert birders from OCAS will lead a short hike through Wright Park's diverse habitats. All the while, field games for families and youth will be played in the upper field that theme around migration and bird adaptation.  After the birding and banding ends, there will be a small picnic, so bring some delicious goods if you'd like to relax and socialize amidst the bird song. Dessert provided by MALT and OCAS!

This event is free and open to the public!
