A Snowy Start

Week 1 January 17th and 19th

What a wonderful, snowy way to start Forest Playschool! We are so excited to head into the spring with two fantastic groups of kiddos. We began our morning by searching for 29 coyotes in the front yard. They camouflaged well in the snow, but we used our superb howling skills and found them all!

On Wednesday, our morning meeting leader kept us moving and grooving in the snow! We started with snack and a story in the barn before heading outside for some sledding! While waiting for our turn to sled, we used shovels to plow through the snow and throw it high into the air. After sledding, our morning meeting leader wanted to treat the birds that visit the office, so we each took turns filling the bird feeders. We then headed back inside to color some snowflakes and winter scenes. We enjoyed lunch and two stories before heading back out to climb on the snow and have our first thank you circle!

On Friday, we started our day with some sledding and snow shoveling in the front yard. We had so much fun! We then headed over to forest camp, stopping to fill the birdfeeders on our way. At forest camp, we created some delicious snow treats, rode on our motorcycles, and created a huge snow pile that we jumped in. We then hiked up to mossy rocks to see them in the snow, and even got to see some awesome tracks on the trail. We headed back down to the barn for lunch and thank you circle!
