May 12th: Forest Camp Fun!

We had some wonderful weather of Forest Preschool this week!  Debbie and Emily were so happy that we got to spend the entire day outside! As everyone started to arrive we played in our mud kitchen right outside of the barn! Everyone was so excited to start the day outside.  The sun was shining and everyone had a bright smile on their face.  We all spent a while making our taste mud treats. Debbie and Emily couldn't bare the thought of doing anything inside on this wonderful day, so we had our morning meeting outside on the grass.  It was a great way to start our day. We found many new friends at forest camp too.  A squirmy grub that was found in the soil where some of us were digging, and 2 red backed salamanders! Some of us began building a fence around our garden some some sticks and logs that we found laying around forest camp.  Others made yummy moss guacamole and a crown out of feathers! It hit the spot! We have some pretty goofy times at Forest Camp.  We are never shy on smiles and laughs.  We love to use all of our senses from touching new things, or smelling nature in our cups! We ended out day and time at forest camp with our Thank You Circle! Debbie found a ramp, which is a wild type of onion and each of us got a chance to smell it and then share one thing we were thankful for. It's crazy to think there are only 3 more weeks of Forest Preschool left!  Then hope for sunshine!
