Highlights from Nature Detectives

July 9-13

This week our Preschool Nature campers earned this Nature Detective Badges! Each day we focused on a different sense. Each day a Scent Detective visited to help teach us more about a specific sense. We put our senses to the test each day.

Monday was all about sight. We enjoyed a wonderful sight hike through Audubon. Tuesday we focused on touch, we hiked down to the brook, caught some wild critters, and felt the rocks with our hands and the cold water on our feet. Wednesday was smell and taste and boy was it smelly.  Our smell detective had a challenge for us to figure out what was in their yogurt cups and we were up for the challenge. Hearing was what we focused on Thursday.  We listened to all of the sounds around us by going on a sound hike and scavenger hunt. Friday we put all of our senses to the test and went on a nature walk through Audubon.
