Come celebrate the maple sugaring season with sweet sugar on snow, sugaring demonstrations, and a delicious taste of each grade of maple syrup! Tap a tree, collect sap from buckets, and follow the journey from sap to syrup during our sugarbush tours. Learn about Maple Syrup Produced from Bird-Friendly Habitats and go in search of our elusive birds of the sugarbush.
Visit the Green Mountain Audubon Center's Bird-Friendly Sugarbush this maple sugaring season. Audubon's pure Vermont maple syrup will be on sale. Bring a jug or two home to support Audubon's education and conservation programs.
Volunteer at Audubon's Sugar on Snow Parties
Be a part of the maple magic! Jobs include selling and serving food, selling maple syrup, offering maple syrup taste tests to guests, parking cars and much more.

Sugar on Snow Raffle
New this year! We will be raffling off some sweet prizes to help raise fund for Audubon's Education programs.
Tickets will be for sale at Sugar on Snow Parties - the first 50 people to purchase raffle tickets each day will receive a gift of Lake Champlain Chocolates. Raffle tickets will also be on sale at the Audubon office during the month of March.
$5/ticket or $20 for 5 tickets.
There will be SIX Sugar on Snow Raffle prizes:
- THREE $100 gift certificates to L.L. Bean
- ONE Women’s L.L. Bean Snowshoe Package
- ONE gallon of Audubon Vermont maple syrup
- ONE Runamok Maple gift package
Raffle winners may pick up their prize at the Audubon office in Huntington.
Do you want to help protect birds and their habitat? Looking for a unique gift? With our Adopt-a-Maple program you can support Audubon Vermont’s Bird-Friendly Maple Project as well as our Bird-Friendly Maple Education Programming.
For $75, your name (or the name you designate) will be attached to a maple sap bucket for the 2018 maple sugaring season. You will also receive a "sweet" bundle of products from Audubon Vermont.
The Golden Tap is Back!
Visit the Green Mountain Audubon Center's Bird-Friendly Sugarbush this maple sugaring season and find the Golden Tap. Search under lid and bough to spot the Golden Tap and you can be entered to win a grand prize of one half-gallon of Audubon Vermont Maple Syrup! Folks who find the Golden Tap at our Sugar on Snow parties will win a Lake Champlain Chocolates treat (while supplies last)!
