Meet in the parking lot across from the Intervale Center's Information Kiosk and Office Building ( the old farm house building, just past Gardener’s Supply)

Looking for leaves to identify trees makes identification easier, but what do we do in winter? We’ll focus on other parts of the tree: bark, buds, branching patterns, and habitat. Join Audubon Vermont for an afternoon of cross country skiing through the lovely trails of Burlington’s Intervale while we build our winter tree identification skills. We will also pause to explore anything else that we come across, such as animal tracks and signs, as well as bird songs and sighting.
Bring your own skis and dress in warm layers. If you don’t have skis, no problem! We have teamed up with Skirack for ski rentals, see details below.
Fee: Audubon members $10; Non-members $15. Ski/boot rental fee $15 at Skirack (see details below).

Ski and/or Boot Rental:
If you need to rent skis and/or boots contact Skirack directly at (802) 658-3313 to reserve your skis. The fee for a half day rental is $15. You can pick up your skis at Skirack either on Saturday before 5 pm or on Sunday morning after 11 am.
