Pride Hikes: Mt. Philo

November 17, 2018 - Charlotte, VT

Questions? email gcauser@audubon.org

LGBTQA+ hikers are gathering to hike Mr. Philo in Charlotte. This is a an easy to moderate, 2 mile round-trip hike with wonderful views of Lake Champlain, the Champlain Valley, and the Adirondacks. This is a prime location for spotting migrating raptors, so bring your binoculars if you have them.  Audubon Vermont's Gwendolyn Causer will lead the hike and provide birding and botany tidbits. Families welcome!

We will meet up in the parking lot at Shaws at 9:30 am to arrange carpools. (570 Shelburne Rd in S. Burlington. We'll gather near the Starbucks.) Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring snacks and water! Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed.

Co-hosted by Audubon Vermont, Pride Center of Vermont, and Outright Vermont.

Note: The paved road to the top of Mt. Philo is closed for the off-season, so if trail accessibility is an issue for you please let me know, and we can plan to hike on the road (it's just as beautiful). This also means that there is no entry fee for getting into the park. Email: gcauser@audubon.org

Youth under 18 years should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
