Meeting Place: North Branch Nature Center, 713 Elm Street, Montpelier, VT at 2013 BirdFest
Peregrine Falcons were gone from Vermont in the 1960’s. Thanks to extensive recovery efforts, Vermont's Peregrines are again flourishing. Margaret Fowle has been overseeing the species' recovery since 1997. Margaret will discuss the come-back of these miraculous birds and give an update on their current status in Vermont.
Join us at Green Mountain Audubon’s bird banding station this summer. We’ll walk you through the banding process, from mist nets to data sheets. Learn about Audubon’s bird conservation and view wild birds up close. Bring a camera, mud boots, and a cup of coffee.
